"I have everything I want, and I'm still not happy."
"I wouldn't know self-compassion if I tripped over it."
"I don't know how to let myself off the hook."
Sound familiar? I know what it’s like to feel that no matter what you do, it’s never good enough. To talk to yourself in a way you wouldn't talk to your worst enemy.
I can help. I’ve worked with clients to help them develop and sustain healthy relationships, with others, and–more importantly–with themselves.

Are you a parent struggling for balance? Are you in a relationship that's stuck? Are you feeling beat up by a culture that's particularly toxic for you? It doesn't have to be that way.
I've always wanted to offer people who are suffering a place where they can be emotionally safe, and where they can be heard. In my practice I help clients learn how to let go of past experiences, deal with painful mind-states, and build healthy relationships. My work is informed by a variety of approaches, including meditation and mindfulness practices. These powerful tools can help with "modern" problems like anxiety, depression, and attentional challenges. People of all backgrounds can learn to use these skills, along with techniques such as guided visualization and acceptance and commitment therapy, to gain ease in their daily lives, improve their mood, and build better relationships.
I offer affordable consultation to individuals, couples and families in the Columbus, Ohio area. My practice is inclusive and culturally sensitive. I also offer parenting workshops, and write about issues affecting adolescent girls, women, and families. Consultation is available in my Clintonville office, or online via Skype or Facetime.
